The California Doughnut Economics Coalition (CalDEC) is a group of enthusiasts drawn together by a desire to see California thrive and grow in healthy, sustainable, and ecologically viable ways. Everyone is a volunteer juggling day jobs, families, and studies.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes the creation of regenerative and distributive economic systems throughout California, using 21st-century Doughnut Economics thinking. We envision an economy where the people and ecology of California thrive in balance. Your donation will be invaluable in moving us forward on our current project of creating the California Doughnut and using it to spark the formation of grassroots pilot projects, the recruitment of local governments, and the interest of business and public leaders in creating a broad-based commitment in progress in the direction of a sustainable and just future.
